Hi!
I just bought a new 2024 Eliminator (white) this week and absolutely love it. My last bike was a 250 ninja and rode that bike everywhere but stopped riding a few years ago with bad knees etc. But I've missed it so started looking for something with a little more power and a little more comfortable (I'm female, 5'4", and it's hard to find a bike I can flatfoot). The eliminator is perfect and I love the saddle style seat and the upright positioning. I like long rides (did rides from Cincinnati to Niagara Falls and others on my Ninja) so comfort is key. And this bike seems to have enough power to keep up on both the highway and back roads. I'm really, really happy with this bike.
However, one question, and I read that other Kawasaki bikes having the same problem, when I left the dealership the engine light was flashing but they said it would stop within 24 hours...it had to do with the warranty registration. It hasn't stopped 3 days later and so I took it back to have them look at it. Evidently it has to do with the software but when they looked at it today, they couldn't run the software update for some reason. But they ran full diagnostics and said nothing came up so they're going to check with Kawasaki and get back to me next week. Very frustrating. They said as long as it's a double flash and the pattern doesn't change, there shouldn't be anything wrong with the bike. It's just annoying as anything. I'm seeing this is a fairly common problem, is that true? And shouldn't this be a simple fix?
Appreciate any feedback and happy to be here!
